Privacy Policy

Power Switcher is a Windows app sold on the Microsoft Store. This policy covers the Power Switcher app, the website you are reading now, and explains the little data it involves. The short version: the app runs entirely on your PC and sends me nothing, and the website keeps to cookieless analytics.
Who is responsible
Power Switcher is made by Bitbrouwer, a one-person software business in the Netherlands. I am the data controller for the small amount of personal data described below. You can reach me at contact@bitbrouwer.nl.
The app
Power Switcher runs entirely on your PC. Switching power plans and modes happens locally on your machine. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no servers of mine involved. I don't receive any of your data.
Because Power Switcher is sold through the Microsoft Store, Windows handles crash reporting itself. If the app crashes, Microsoft may send a diagnostic report as part of standard Store telemetry, under Microsoft's privacy terms. I see only aggregate crash counts in the developer dashboard, with nothing that identifies you.
This website
One thing happens on the site, and only one. It uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, hosted in the EU. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It doesn't store your IP address or build a profile of you. I use it only to count visits and see which of the Store links get clicked, so I know what parts of the site are working. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, which is also why there's no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
How long I keep things
Analytics data is aggregate visit counts only, retained by Umami under its own retention settings. Sales data from the Microsoft Store is kept for as long as I need it for accounting and tax purposes.
Buying Power Switcher
The purchase itself happens on the Microsoft Store, not on this site. Microsoft handles your payment and account details under its own privacy terms, and I never see your card or payment information. From Microsoft I get only aggregate and order-level sales data, none of which identifies you personally.

Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. Email me and I will sort it out.
If you think I have handled your data badly and we cannot resolve it between us, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
